Helen Pynta completed her Bachelor of Social Work at La Trobe University in 1997. She has a Graduate Diploma in Gerontology. Helen obtained a Masters in Clinical Family Therapy from La Trobe University in 2009 and is a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker.
Helen is an experienced psychotherapist with over 15 years experience in counselling and has vast experience in a variety of different mental health settings including hospitals, community health and private practice.

Glenn Chuck provides psychological counselling and interventions to children and youth (up to 21yo). He has 19 years of experience working with youth across varied settings including state and private schools, public health (CAMHS), and private practice.
Glenn is confident providing counselling and psychological interventions in the areas of anxiety (including panic, OCD, phobias, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety etc.), depression, greif, bullying, low self esteem, behavioural challanges, ADHD, Austism Spectrum, and parenting education/ collaboration. Glenn is able to work within the NDIS if clients are self or plan managed.
Although extensive 1:1 counselling is undertaken, parents are included and informed appropriately, with respect for client confidentiality. Bernadette is a registered Psychologist and full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Bernadette is an approved NSW Workcover provider, Medicare Provider, peri-natal counsellor and a trained Mediator with experience in workplace and community disputes. She provides assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, regulating emotions, trauma, grief, positive health behaviours and workplace issues including mediation. She also has a special interest in the treatment of chronic pain management.
Bernadette’s treatment approaches are evidence based including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psycho-education, Mindfulness, Relaxation and Meditation. Bernadette works with adolescents and adults.

Belinda Andrews
Belinda Andrews has over 14 years experience at Albury Wodonga Health Maternity. She is employed as an Midwifery Educator and works across birth suite, special care nursery and the antenatal/postnatal floor. Qualifications held by Belinda include Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Antenatal Educator, Accredited pap smear provider and an Endorsed Midwife. Being an endorsed midwife means that Belinda is able to write pathology, ultrasound forms, prescribe medications within her state formularly and also referral of patients to Obstetricians and Paeditricians. She is able to care for you whilst you are pregnant and for the first 6 weeks in your postnatal period. Belinda is a mother of 2 and has a passion for quality midwifery care and providing women with choice for their antenatal/postnatal journey.
Wendy Bakic
Wendy Bakic is a registered nurse, a registered midwife, a nurse immuniser and an Endorsed midwife. Being an Endorsed midwife allows Wendy to provide medicare funded care, order tests and ultrasounds relating to pregnancy, birth and the newborn period. It also allows her to prescribe certain medications and refer women and babies to obstetricians and paediatricians as needed.
Pregnancy Education Classes
Education classes run every Tuesday. The classes are a 90minute individual assessment and education class for women to discuss pregnancy, delivery and postnatal issues. This is a great oppurtunity to ask those questions and develop your birth plan. Any pregnant woman beyond 20 weeks gestation is eligible for these classes. These classes are billed directly to Medicare, with no out of pocket costs.
Midwife Clinic
A private midwife clinic with our Midwifes Belinda Andrews and Wendy Bakic is available (for pregnant women who are assessed as low-risk) for your visits throughout your pregnancy, without needing to involve a Doctor (except for a few "milestone" visits, or if complications develop).

Jennifer Liu is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner (Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine).

Daniel Searle is a physiotherapist who grew up on a dairy farm outside the rural town of Barham in the South West Riverina. Daniel moved to Albury in 2007 to commence his study at charles Sturt University and has stayed here ever since.
Daniel is one of the inaugural Pain Revolution Local Pain Educators. Since 2018, he has been providing pain education to health professionals and general public within his community. Daniel initialised and co-facilitates a monthly interdisciplinary pain collective in Albury with Psychologist Bernadette Hurley.
Daniel lost the majority of his sight at 16 due to a rare genetic condition but believes that rather than being a disability it gives him a unique perspective on understanding and appreciating people with ongoing medical conditions such as pain.

Danae is a registered psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychology Society.
Danae has a background in school counselling and has over 10 years experience in providing mental health and wellbeing support to children, adolescents and their parents/carers.
Danae has a particular interest in working with young people (15 years and over) and adults who may be experiencing psychological distress as a result of anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, stress, loss and grief.
Danae utilises a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing. Michelle Wood, PhD is a counsellor with extensive experience in working with individuals, couples, families, children, and supervising counsellors. Michelle works collaboratively with each person, couple, family, or child to resolve issues, restore wellbeing and strengthen relationships.
Michelle’s working theory is wide, eclectic, and integrative including narrative therapy, family therapy, positive psychology, Gottman's relationship research, attachment theory, developmental theory, feminist theory, queer theory, both Freud and Jung’s ideas are important and influential.
She initially trained as an Occupational Therapist and completed post graduate training with leading Australian Family Therapist Michael White. In 2017, Michelle completed a PhD with the University of Kent, Canterbury on the transformative power of literature, meditation and walking in nature.
Michelle has worked as a counsellor for nearly 30 years in services such as child and adolescent mental health, child sexual abuse, family services, schools, alcohol and drug counselling and adult mental health.

Rosie is a mental health GP with over 25 years of experience in general medical practice with a focus on counselling & emotional health. Rosie is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (FACRRM), a member of the Australian Society of Psychological Medicine (MASPM) and is a member of the International Association of Applied Neuroscience (MIAAN). She has Diplomas in Solution Focused Therapy and Hypnosis (Dip. Sol. Foc. Therapy) and Community Services Case Management (Dip. Comm. Serv.). She is a Master Practitioner of NLP.
Rosie is an experienced General Practitioner (over 25 years in general medical practice) whose area of work has steadily deepened in the emotional health and counselling arena. In addition to her medical training and experience, Rosie has undertaken additional study and formal training in various neuroscience informed psychological approaches to therapy including Solution Focused Therapy (Dip), Hypnotherapy (Dip), Somatic Experiencing (level I & II), Brain spotting (certified practitioner), EMDR (level I) and NLP Master Practitioner.
Mr Brian Kirkby is a Vascular/ General Surgeon who specialises in a full range of general and vascular surgery. He has spent most of his career practicing in rural and regional Australia. Most recently he has been based in outer metropolitan Brisbane while his wife, Brooke, completed her training as an anatomical pathologist, having given up general practice.
Prior to Brisbane, he was the Director of Surgery in Launceston where he established the endovascular service and oversaw the rebuilding of the Launceston General Hospital. Brian was also the rural representative on the Board in General Surgery which is responsible for training general surgeons and have just rolled out the brand new training program in the last couple of weeks.
He will be working at the Albury Base Hospital Monday through Thursday and his biggest task will be getting vascular and endovascular services established again.
On Fridays Brian will be operating and performing endoscopy at the Insight Private Hospital in the morning and consulting at The Gardens Level 6 on Friday afternoons.
He intends to establish a vascular clinic alongside a wound clinic and a high risk foot clinic, all to run out of the Albury Base Hospital. From a procedural point of view he will offer a full range of vascular and endovascular procedures albeit with a slight time lag as the necessary equipment and supports are sourced. His connections to Melbourne vascular surgery are through St Vincents, Epworth and Box Hill and he will be working with Michael Denton with respect to some of the complex endovascular services.
From a general surgical perspective and particularly from a private operating point of view he will offer a full range of general surgery including colorectal surgery but excluding upper gastrointestinal malignancy. As the RACS Endoscopy Committee Chair and GESA colonoscopy recertification committee member he has a strong interest in colonoscopy and colonoscopic intervention which he will offer through the Insight Private Hospital and the public hospital.

Dr Annie Hung is dual trained in Endocrinology and General Medicine with recent appointment as a staff specialist at Albury Wodonga Health.
Dr Hung’s special interests include general endocrinology with attention to diabetes management. She aims to offer a holistic approach to diabetes management with involvement from allied health members.
Dr Annie Hung immigrated from Canada following completion of a Masters degree in Neuroscience. She completed her medical degree at Melbourne University and continued with advanced training in Melbourne and Sydney.
During her last two years at Liverpool Hospital, she completed quality assurance projects into general medical readmission rates, the metabolic and cardiovascular profile of high-risk foot clinic patients at Liverpool Hospital and the cardiovascular profile of patients referred to the Fairfield diabetes centre. She is passionate about improving hospital service, community health and education.
