Fees and Billing Arrangements

We are a Private Practice and require payment on the day of consultation. Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, cheque or Eft.  The AMA fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy and is displayed on our reception desk. All accounts that are not paid on the day will incur an administration fee of $20. Our staff can assist you with claiming fees back from Medicare. If you hold a Health Care Card or Pension Card this may be transmitted directly to Medicare with no out of pocket cost but is at the Doctors discretion. If your normal Doctor usually transmits your consultations directly to Medicare that does not automatically mean if you see another Doctor at the Practice they will also do the same.

Due to changes to Medicare bulk billing incentive rules, from 1 October 2020 we will be changing our billing policies for phone consultations, and fewer of our patients will qualify for bulk billing. From that date, a fee will now apply for all phone consultations unless the GP decides to bulk bill. Our fees for Phone Consults are as follows: $85 for a Standard Phone Consult (10mins), with a $38.75 rebate payable by Medicare; $125 for a Long Phone Consult (20 mins), with a $75.05 rebate payable; Reception will ring you after your appointment for payment.

All requests for re-prints of referrals and request forms will incur a $10.00 fee. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss with the CEO Jenny Edwards.
